Call Break - Grochi card game is a strategic trick-based card game that is played by four players using a standard deck of 52 playing cards. The game follows the standard international 52-card pack. In Call Break, the cards of each suit rank from highest to lowest as A-K-Q-J-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2. Unlike other card games, Spades are permanent trumps in Call Break, meaning any Spade card beats any card from any other suit. The deal and play in Call Break are conducted in a counter-clockwise direction.

The objective of Call Break is for players to win the number of tricks they have called or even more. If successful, the number called is added to their cumulative score. However, if unsuccessful, the number called is subtracted from their score. The winner of the game is determined after 5th, 13th, or 20th round, with the player have the highest total points declared as the victor.

Call Break is highly popular in Nepal and India, as well as in Bangladesh and various Asian, Middle Eastern, and European countries. In Bangladesh, it is known and played as Call Bridge with slightly different rules and scoring system. Additionally, Call Break is also widely enjoyed in North America under the name Spades. Although the rules and game logic are quite similar between Spades and Call Break, there are differences in terms of game length, scoring, and call bidding system. In Call Break, the game length is fixed based on the number of rounds played, whereas in Spades it is determined by reaching a fixed score.
